Executive Summary



  • An experienced Chair and a Member are sought for the AusHealth Board to support medical, healthcare and scientific research in hospitals, medical research bodies and institutes across Australia

AusHealth Corporate (AusHealth) is a company who has the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) as our shareholder. AusHealth Corporate is the sole member of the AusHealth Hospital Research Fund (AHRF) a registered health charity supporting medical research in hospitals and universities in Australia.

AusHealth is focused on providing services, products, and consultation for researchers, workplaces, hospitals and healthcare. With the profits made from our workplace safety services and hospital financial services, we fund ground-breaking medical research conducted right here in Australia in the hope it can benefit all Australians.

Since establishing in 1985, AusHealth has contributed more than $50 million into South-Australian led research in cell therapies, pain management, bowel and breast cancer, diabetes, and new diagnostics. Research predominantly focused on biotechnologies. Together, with our team of researchers and partnering hospitals and universities, AusHealth is working today for a healthier tomorrow.

The skills, experience and attributes being sought for the roles of Board Chair and Board Member, that will enable the effective performance of the Board functions, include:

  • Corporate governance
  • Commercial management
  • Financial management
  • Health management
  • The practice of Law
  • Scientific and/or Research management

Board chair remuneration is currently $60,000 per annum and $30,000 per annum for a Board Member.

TERM & CONDITIONS

Service Location:

Head Quarters in South Australia with service locations across Australia

Remuneration:

  • Board Chair $60,000 per annum
  • Board Member $30,000 per annum
